SUNDAYS @ HARBINS

revelation & response

The gathering of the saints on the Lord's Day is the most important thing we do. Worship consists of God revealing Himself to us in His infallible, inerrant, all sufficient Word, and God's people responding with reverence and awe.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Bible Study (9:30am)

We provide Bible Study classes each Sunday morning for preschool, elementary, young adult (youth), and adults. We believe that parents are the primary disciplers of their children, therefore all of our Bible study programs for children are designed to supplement, not supplant what parents are doing in the home. We provide take home materials and resources for the family to use for discipleship during the week.

Worship service (10:45am)

At Harbins we worship together as families. We have a nursery for birth through three-year-olds, but kids age four and above worship with their parents. We believe children learn best when they worship with their parents and we're conscious of the fact that little ears are present. Our preaching incorporates illustrations to keep the kids engaged and a "kid's notes" section of the bulletin, yet we do not water-down our preaching which is expositional preaching from God's Word.

Third Sunday of each month: The Lord's Supper

The Lord Jesus commanded the church observe the Lord's Supper as a memorial to His New Covenant saving work. As often as we eat the bread and drink the cup, we proclaim our Lord’s death until he comes.

BELIEVER'S Baptism

We practice Believer's Baptism whereby professing believers are baptized by immersion as an outward identification with the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We baptize new believers as God adds to the church.

LAST SunDAY of EACH MONTH: FELLOWSHIP MEAL

The Bible speaks often of believers eating together. A meal is a great means of facilitating genuine fellowship, and at the end of each month we have a Fellowship Meal after the service. Each month our families bring food for their family and enough to share and each month the meal has a different theme. Check our calendar to see what themes are coming up.
